What happens when an English fiddle player and a klezmer accordionist join forces?
This is what!
Shem Filmore is a fiddle and mandolin player hailing from East Anglia.
Adina Presman is an accordionist born in London to a family of Eastern European Yiddish speakers.
Together they are exploring the world of English folk music, with its many forms, facets and connections, leaving no stone unturned.
Whilst deep-diving into the history of the music, they also incorporate influences and inspiration from the here and now.

Yiddiomatikh (Paul Kendler and Ailsa Mainwaring) perform all things folk song: Northumbrian lullabies, West Country wassails, Dutch sea shanties, and the Yiddish ballads of Paul’s Eastern European heritage.
Expect lots of toe-tapping tunes, and choruses you can’t resist joining in! Paul communicates with heart and humour, and Ailsa’s energetic accompaniment and close harmony singing underscore this rich and varied repertoire.
