Scottish-born, London-based fingerstyle guitarist and songwriter Sam Grassie is talented beyond his years: a young musician lending fresh energy to time-worn sounds. A rising star in the world of trad folk……
Sam’s journey into solo performance began with supporting Naima Bock & Gently Tender on their UK Tour just last October, finishing with sets at Earth Theatre, Hackney. November saw him performing alongside Bernard Butler & Daisy Rickman at the Royal Festival Hall, London for Bert Jansch’s 80th Birthday Celebrations.
Tóchar play thoughtful arrangements of traditional and contemporary Celtic tunes on fiddle and guitar. Fran Barrett and Kai Dudley, who met on London’s vibrant session scene, stage intimate and lively dialogues between their instruments, treating guitar and fiddle as musical equals. The duo can often be found hosting traditional music sessions in a variety of London venues such as Morocco Bound, Jamboree and Mascara Bar.
