Electrified blues-folk rooted in storytelling and traditional music. Noum is a London-based French-Swiss singer and guitarist who combines her own songs with riff-driven folk adaptations, often performed in intimate settings that welcome guest musicians.

Noum has created original live soundtracks for circus, performed solos in KOKO and numerous sold out cathedrals across the country as part of Idrîsî Ensemble, and contributed guest vocals for Jordan Rakei in his Royal Albert Hall show as well as Florence Welch on her song ‘Drink Deep’. She is known for her sirenic voice and brutally minimalist arrangements with understated intimacy, a soul-luring exploration through themes of love, grief, radical animism and buried histories.

What Noum is the most passionate about is storytelling through song. Whether performing solo with foot percussion or alongside drummer Ayman Sinada and bassist Mandy Nossen, she accompanies herself with electric guitar and a beloved tube amp, mixing originals with heavily adapted trad songs from throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, weaving in storytelling that engages, amuses and connects.
