Anna Breger, nyckelharpa
Alexis Bennett, fiddle
Anna Breger specialises in traditional music on the nyckelharpa and baroque violin. Her international performances range from courtly baroque music, to historical dance music accompaniment, to Scandinavian and Austrian folk music. Since 2016 she has held in Vienna a monthly open jam session with historical tunes and in 2022 her first CD appeared with the ‘Wiener Miniorchester’, including Viennese music from around 1900.
Alexis Bennett is a Lecturer in Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. He also coaches traditional folk music at Dartington Music Summer School. He has performed with a wide variety of ensembles, such as Florilegium, Dufay Collective, and London Early Opera. He has worked extensively as a composer and performer in film, TV, theatre, and collaborations with poets.
