Finn Collinson is a recorder player and folk musician from East Anglia. Barely in his 20s, Finn is already gaining a reputation as one of the foremost exponents of the recorder on the English folk scene.
As a former semi-finalist in the BBC Young Folk Award and two-time New Roots finalist, Finn is known primarily for his previous work with Shorelark and Tilly Moses. Finn’s new solo material draws on a diverse array of influences, and ranges from his trademark instrumental recorder to a brand new set of rootsy, guitar-driven songs.
This exclusive headline London show is a showcase of material destined to be released on Finn’s debut album in 2019. Joining him on stage will be award-winning melodeon maestro Archie Churchill-Moss (Moore Moss Rutter, Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys) alongside the powerful rhythm section of Tom Leader (double bass/guitar) and Jonno Gaze (percussion), plus Finn’s fellow Guildhall School student Emma Beach (oboe).
