With seven albums and five books to her name, independent British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and poet Emily Maguire has had 3 singles playlisted on Radio 2, toured the UK extensively with the likes of American legend Don McLean and been interviewed on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Front Row, Midweek and numerous regional BBC Radio stations.
Now separated from her Australian husband and musical partner Christian Dunham with whom she toured for 20 years playing every kind of venue from folk clubs, arts centres and theatres to the acoustic stage at Glastonbury Festival and concert halls including the Royal Albert Hall, Emily is now performing intimate solo house concerts and folk clubs in the UK.
“A class act” (The Mirror)
Open about her struggles with bipolar disorder, Emily’s experience of mental health recovery and her practice of Buddhist meditation over the past 25 years have strongly influenced her songwriting. With a supremely expressive voice, thought-provoking lyrics and songs ‘bathed in raw, emotional power’ (Guitarist Magazine), Emily’s music is a hauntingly beautiful and profoundly moving experience not to be missed.
Former lead singer and guitarist of the much-loved band, Trophy Wife, Jody Prewett was also an original member of the equally popular Jonquil, also fleetingly playing keys with math rock pioneers TTNG
Having recently released an album of nature-inspired guitar instrumentals, ‘Trails’, Jody continues to strike out on his own distinctive path as a solo artist. He has been regularly impressing audiences with his inventive guitar playing, soulful vocals and striking lyrical imagery.
