Emilija Karaliute is a professional classical/folk musician, started learning the kanklės (the Lithuanian National instrument) in Lithuania before moving to the UK and has been awarded the title of the National Laureate of Lithuania twice.
Emilija’s performances are characterized by skillful integration of the traditional folk instrument, the kanklės, into diverse genres, including classical, pop, and folk music.
Roary Skaista is a queer folk musician based in Oxford, performing traditional folk songs as well as their own material on the themes of love, nature and diversity.
Tamise (Tamara Brunert, Saul Cuthbertson, Kitty Lewis, and Silas Clennell) is a new band on the folk scene. They all play in the National Youth Folk Ensemble and play and write traditional and contemporary folk music with their unique set of instruments: 2 fiddles, guitar, recorder, and cello.
