Toronto born Hatley is a singer whose atmospheric pop has a delicate air of emotional detachment from the world while telling the story of growing up, heartache and longing with a pure, lilting touch that reveals a sensitive soul.
With her feet firmly planted in pop, Hatley draws comparisons to Lorde and Lana Del Rey.
Jake Among The Willows is a fusion of colourful Folk and World music, with hints of swampy, celebratory Blues.
Inspired by the likes of Woody Guthrie, Peter Green and Creedence Clearwater Revival, ‘Jake Among The Willows’ fits perfectly into any playlist for fans of Seasick Steve, Tadeschi Trucks Band, Edward Sharpe and the Magentic Zeros’, Ray Lamontagne and Paolo Nutini.
Amelia Lappert is a fresh and exciting new talent to emerge on the singer/songwriter scene. Her writing contains elements of country and folk conveyed soulfully yet with a commercial vibe. The lyrics and melodies resonate deep into the hearts of her audiences, her beautiful tone reaching exquisite heights with clarity and ease.
Pete Gardiner is a rarity, a true songsmith, a poet who sets his stories to music. Pete writes about doomed, alcohol fuelled love affairs, our celebrity obsessed culture, vanity, greed, violence and lust with a style and passion inspired by his songwriting heroes Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen.
Blánid is a talented folk singer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Northern Ireland and Devon. With a voice that has been described as “spellbinding”, “haunting” and “beautiful”, BLÁNID attributes her love for folk music to the stories behind the songs. With her ability to connect emotionally to these stories, she breathes new life into traditional folk and embraces contemporary folk with passion.
