London based Finnish singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed ‘island girl’ Kerttu enchants audiences with her powerful yet delicate voice and charming guitar work.
Be prepared to be spell-bound by a combination of original songs from her upcoming debut album ‘Saari’ – inspired by an urge to understand her own experience of this human life, the mystery of love and her relationship with nature – combined with traditional Finnish folk songs and lullabies she has gathered throughout her life.
She has spent the last few years performing in front of London audiences, honing her own original songs. Her effortless ethereal voice finding passionate listeners, despite the songs being penned in her mother-tongue of Finnish. She is now in the process of recording her debut album; ‘Saari’ a collection of intensely personal songs, born from island life of summers spent in the western Finnish archipelago.
