Canadian maritimer and prairie girl sing ~ whimsy and wistfulness takes wing ~ on two voices, fiddle, and guitar string

Nova Scotian maritimer Luke Fraser and Alberta prairie-girl Sarah Frank create beautiful harmonies and enchanting melodies by reconfiguring old folk songs, poetry, and original songs into a new folk framework. Luke’s guitar, mandolin, and harmonies are the ideal counterpoint to Sarah’s sweet-yet-powerful vocals, lyrical fiddle and claw-hammer banjo. Innovative arrangements give their songs layer upon layer of sonically satisfying surprises.

“Some real nice energetic sounds emanate from The Bombadils…Their secret is melodies, in an old-fashioned, simple manner steeped in old-world folk traditions… interwoven and immersed in a spiritual showcase…This all confirms that Sarah and Luke should already be sharing stages with the likes of Iris, John Prine, Roseanne Cash, Emmylou Harris” – No Depression review.
