Follow multi-award winning Fiddle/Cello Duo An Dhá as they prowl through an Urban Folk music jungle, hunting perfection and exploring the wilderness of the Celtic tradition. Hear their original compositions and Traditional Scottish tunes together in a fusion of sounds influenced by Jazz and grounded in classical virtuosity.

An Dhá formed in 2013 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire after Violinist Jaya Hanley and Cellist Sarah James visited the Isle of Skye and were entranced by the beauty and music of the Island. In 2016 they won the London Fiddle Convention Competition at Cecil Sharpe House and were finalists in the Bath Folk Festival New Shoots competition.

An Dhá means ‘The Two’ in Gaelic; two musicians, Fiddle and Cello, on a journey exploring life and music together.

“[An Dhá] play with bite, with craft, and with soul, the music coming from some vital wellspring within them.” – (Fringe Review 2016 http://fringereview.co.uk/review/brighton-fringe/2016/an-dha-urban-folk-music/)
