“A musician who doesn’t play by anybody else’s rules” RnR Magazine

Performer, string arranger, recording artist, composer; David Grubb’s ability to bridge genres has made him a flexible and valuable musician. Primarily a violinist, he has worked with the likes of Novo Amor, Jim Ghedi, Toby Hay, and Hailaker. As a touring musician he has had the pleasure of working in North America, Europe, Asia, and New Zealand, and has performed at prestigious festivals and venues such as Union Chapel (London), Bowery Ballroom (NYC), SXSW, and Cambridge Folk Festival.

Post-folk – David Grubb brings together an array of seemingly disparate musical elements to create a uniquely diverse sound, challenging the audience’s perception of genre.
