Aidan Connolly
Aidan Connolly is a fiddle player from Dublin who has been heavily influenced both by the musicians of his locality and the great fiddlers of times past. Aidan has his own unique style of playing and is a highly sought-after performer both in Ireland and abroad. He released his debut album, Be Off in October 2016 to critical acclaim. Aidan relocated to the Spanish city of Valencia in 2018 and is now a regular performer in Spain, Ireland, and further afield in the USA, Australia and Japan.
Mikey Kenney
“There are some who go to extraordinary lengths to show that they are original and different – kinda like “forcing” rhubarb to make it extra succulent.”
A traditional fiddler held in high regard by his peers, Mikey has a reputation for making quality music and producing wondrous flourishes of superb creativity. A multi-talented and in-demand collaborator, he enjoys the company of others who are well established on the circuit, turning out for instance with The Band of Burns.
Owen Spafford
Equally at home in a traditional session as he is in a free improvisation workshop, Spafford’s understanding of the oral tradition and love for vernacular music from around the world enables an inventive and thoughtful fiddle style. Owen has just released a debut album with Louis Campbell (Sam Sweeney) which was described by Martin Hayes as “a beautiful, moody and tasteful recording that defies classification. The arrangements and playing are truly subtle and the sounds are pristine.”
